Rainy Day

I wrote this for an assignment in college though I'm quite fond of it

Welcome to a rainy day

It’s one that makes the sky all grey

But in the gloom and through the mist

Is something that i can’t resist

So in my boots i start to slog

Through the street that’s now a bog

And all among the worms i found

A lonely snail right on the ground

Not a car was on the street

So i went out, i moved my feet

I got the guy right in my hand

And brought it to some dryer land

Went to get some fruit i got

And put it in a nice wet spot

And i do hope it thought it nice

That i offered it an apple slice

As the rain did quiet down

I put it among the plants around

It tells the worms but they all say

“Yea, there just ain’t no fuckin’ way
